David Camfield
David is a Clinical psychologist with a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology and a PhD in the area of personality psychology.
David is a strong advocate for breaking down the stigma associated with mental health conditions, and believes in accepting all people with a non-judgmental attitude. He also has experience working in public mental health within the Geelong region, and has facilitated group therapy programs for anxiety and depression.
David has experience in working with a range of mental health conditions including anxiety and OCD, depression, substance dependence/addiction, personality disorders and the effects of trauma.
His treatment approaches include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Schema Focussed Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR).
David is also a registered clinical supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and the EMDR Association of Australia (EMDRAA).
Clients: Adults of all ages, as well as adolescents (16 years+).
