Fletcher Hamilton

Principal Clinical Psychologist

Fletcher has practiced locally in private and public mental health settings on a full-time basis for more than 18 years. He works with clients individually and as a facilitator in group treatment programs. 

Fletcher regularly assists adults experiencing anxiety, trauma, depression, and general health difficulties. He has specific interests in providing treatment to people experiencing; obsessive compulsive disorder, phobias, and issues relating to physical health (including adjustment and recovery from medical conditions).

Fletcher adopts a clear, practical and educational approach that focuses on developing existing and new skills for change. He commonly uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) approaches (including exposure therapies) when working with clients. He is also and skilled and experienced in other treatment approaches including; Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (MB-CBT), Hypnosis, and Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR). Fletcher also provides supervision and mentoring to psychologists and is a registered clinical supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia (PBA).

Away from work he enjoys riding along our Bellarine Peninsula and occasionally tinkering with his cars.
