David Camfield
David is a Clinical psychologist with a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology and a PhD in the area of personality psychology.
David is a strong advocate for breaking down the stigma associated with mental health conditions, and believes in accepting all people with a non-judgmental attitude. He has experience working in public mental health within the Geelong region, as well as being a facilitator for group therapy for anxiety and depression.
David has experience in working with a range of mental health conditions including anxiety and OCD, depression, substance misuse / relapse prevention, interpersonal difficulties and the effects of trauma. His treatment approaches include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Exposure Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
David is a registered clinical supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia and is a member of both the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and the EMDR Association of Australia (EMDRAA).
In his spare time, David is a keen surfer, and also enjoys spending time in nature and camping along the great ocean road.
Clients: Adults of all ages, as well as adolescents (16 years+).
