Kirsty has worked throughout regional Victoria in counselling roles since 2001. She has been based in Geelong and Surfcoast Regions since 2006 where she has worked in both public and private settings with individuals and groups.
Kirsty’s skills and interests include working with people to improve functioning in the fields of pain management, chronic health conditions, addiction, sports, depression and anxiety. She is particularly interested in the relationship between physical and mental health, and working collaboratively with clients to overcome barriers to achieving their goals.
Kirsty uses evidence-based treatment approaches and has had additional training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Pain Management, Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She has also recently completed training in working with illicit drug use by athletes in sports. Kirsty is a current Member of the Australian Pain Society.
