Fletcher has practiced locally in private and public mental health settings on a full-time basis for more than 15 years. He works with clients individually and as a facilitator in group treatment programs. Fletcher regularly assists adults experiencing anxiety, trauma, depression, and general health difficulties. He has specific interests in providing treatment to people experiencing; obsessive compulsive disorder, phobias, and issues relating to physical health (including adjustment and recovery from medical conditions).
Fletcher adopts a clear, practical and educational approach that focuses on developing existing and new skills for change. He commonly uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) approaches when working with clients and is skilled in other treatment approaches including; Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (MB-CBT), Hypnosis, and Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR). Fletcher also provides supervision and mentoring to psychologists and is a registered clinical supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia (PBA).
